Diy Themes For The Nokia E51

The Nokia E51 comes with a set of default themes that you can use to customize the look and feel of your phone. In addition, the phone's USB feature makes it possible for you to make and transfer your own images as themes. Use personal images that are already on your computer or use third-party images downloaded from the Web.

Instructions

1. Locate a picture that you want to use as a theme on your computer's hard drive or visit one of the numerous websites that offer Nokia E51 themes, such as Symbian Themes, Mobile 9 and Zedge.

2. Verify the image dimensions are 240 by 320 pixels by right-clicking on the image file and selecting "Properties." Use an image-editing program such as Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop to change the dimensions if necessary. You can also use free, Web-based image editors such as Picnik, FotoFlexer and Pixlr.

3. Right-click the saved image file. Select "Copy."

4. Connect a compatible mini-USB cable between your phone and computer. Plug one end of the cable into the USB port on the bottom of your Nokia, and insert the other end of the cable into your computer's USB port.

5. Select "Mass Storage" mode from your phone screen.

6. Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Computer."

7. Double-click the icon representing your Nokia E51 to display all of the folders on your device. Double-click "Media" and "Images" to open the Images folder.

8. Right-click anywhere inside the Images folder and select "Paste" to paste the new image. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone and computer.

9. Press the "Navi" button on your Nokia phone. Scroll to and select "Gallery." Locate and open the image that was just transferred to your phone.

10. Press the "Navi" button. Select "Options." Select the option to "Use Image" and "Set As Wallpaper."
