Delete Certificates In Windows Mobile 6

On computers and portable devices, a certificate is an encryption key shared by your device and a server to which you're logged in. The certificate encrypts your login information, ensuring its security. If you used a mobile device in the past, such as a Windows Mobile 6 PDA to log in to a server, you may have needed to install a certificate on your device. If you no longer use that server, it may be wise to remove the certificate from the device, particularly if you are selling it. For this reason, Windows Mobile 6 gives you the ability to remove a certificate that you have installed.

Instructions

1. Tap the "Start" icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then tap "Settings."

2. Tap the "System" tab at the bottom of the window, then tap the "Security" icon.

3. Tap the "Certificates" button.

4. Tap the "Personal" tab.

5. Tap the name of the certificate that you want to remove, and then tap the "Menu" button.

6. Tap the "Delete" button, and then tap "Yes" to confirm.

7. Tap "Done."
