Fix A N80 Certificate Error

Fix a N80 certificate error by taking a few simple steps.

The Nokia N80 is a mobile phone in the Nokia N-Series, which is a Symbian S60 third-edition-based mobile. When you attempt to install themes or software on your phone, you probably have encountered certificate errors such as "Certificate Expired" or "Certificate Error." This certificate error is the result of Symbian Series 60 security measures that were introduced. These measures prevent older software, themes and applications from being downloaded. You can take simple steps to fix the certificate error and install your application.

Instructions

First Method

1. Access the main menu of your N80 mobile phone.

2. Navigate to "Settings," then "General" and finally "Date and Time."

3. Change the year back at least one year in the "Date and Time" section.

4. Install the application that you could not install previously.

5. Return to the "Date and Time" section and change the date back to the present time. If this does not work, proceed to the next section.

Second Method

6. Navigate to "Application Manager," then "Options" and finally "Settings."

7. Disable "Online Certificate Check" by setting it to "Off" under "Settings."

8. Enable "Software Installation" by setting it to "All" under "Settings."
