Use Skype In A Nonwifi Area

Skype is an online service that offers local and long-distance telephone rates for 2 cents per minute and lower to many places throughout the world. People frequently use Skype over WiFi networks to make and receive calls for free provided that a subscription is in use. However, Skype offers a variety of tools such as the "to go" number that allows individuals to use the service where any wired Internet or non-WiFi network exists.

Instructions

1. Set up a Skype To Go phone number. This is a number that allows you to make phone calls at the Skype rate using either your Skype Credit or monthly subscription. Set up the phone number via Skype's official site after you buy credit; you'll have to enter the phone number from which you'll be calling and choose a special PIN to be used when calling your Skype To Go phone number.

2. Dial your Skype To Go number in a non-WiFi area on any mobile phone or land-line. Follow the command prompts when calling your Skype access number to dial a contact's phone number.

3. Download and install the Skype software on any computer station which has a broadband Internet connection; Skype can be downloaded from www.skype.com. Connect a headset and/or microphone to the computer to engage in conversation during a phone call.

4. Open the Skype software and begin making calls to anyone using your headset provided you have a Skype subscription and/or credit. Choose a contact's name and click the green "Call phone" button to begin dialing. Alternatively, choose the "Call Phones" option to bring up the large telephone number pad and enter the phone number of your choice.
