Set Up A Samsung Wep200

Before you can start using your Samsung WEP200, you need to charge it, connect it with a device and place it in your ear. The WEP200 is a little different from other Bluetooth headsets because it has a charging case instead of a port directly on the headset, and it sits inside your ear instead of having a plastic loop around your ear. However, like all Bluetooth headsets, a connection process called "pairing" is required for it to correctly output audio from another device.

Instructions

1. Open the top of the WEP200 charging case. Place the headset into the case, with the earpiece pointing down, and close the lid.

2. Plug one end of the charger into the port on the side of the charging case and the other into the wall outlet. The light on the headset turns blue, since the cover is translucent. Remove the headset from the case.

3. Watch the front of the headset to see if the light is flashing once every few seconds, which means that the headset is currently powered on. If you see it flash, hold the large button on the face of the headset for four seconds to turn it off.

4. Press the main button on the headset until the light turns a solid blue. This will take about eight seconds and the light will flash rapidly during the process. Once the light is a solid blue, release the button.

5. Search for Bluetooth devices on the device that you want to pair the headset with. This process will vary by device, but most will have a "Search," "Add New" or "Add Device" option in the Bluetooth menu. When the device gives you a list of nearby Bluetooth devices, choose "WEP200."

6. Enter "0000" when you are asked for the passkey. You WEP200 is now paired to your device.

7. Place the WEP200 within your ear. Rotate the hook on the headset so that the loop is pointing toward the bottom of your ear, to ensure a correct fit. You are now ready to use your WEP200.
