An unresponsive cell phone can be a major inconvenience and there may not seem like much you can do, except replace it or have it repaired by a service technician. Before sending your Nokia 6070 off for repairs, a "hard reset" may remedy software problems -- and even some hardware issues -- on your debilitated cell phone. A "soft reset" clears out the cell phone's temporary memory, but a hard reset reverts the phone's settings back to factory presets.
Instructions
1. Press the 6070's center "Function/Menu" button to enter the phone's menu.
2. Navigate down to the "Settings" menu option, using the phone's directional keypad -- press the "Function/Menu" button to enter the "Settings" menu.
3. Navigate down to the "Restore Factory Sett.. " option in the "Settings" menu -- press the "Function/Menu" button.
4. Key in your cell phone's security code. Enter "12345" if you haven't set a security code. Press the "Function/Menu" button to reset your 6070.
