A custom theme can completely modify the looks of your cell phone. From wallpaper to icons and background images, you can customize it all with the colors and images of your own choice. You can use the images and photographs you have on your PC to create a theme that nobody else has. A number of free resources are available for this purpose, including the Own Skin, Astod and Zedge websites.
Instructions
1. Use the website Own Skin for creating themes. You will have to sign up first before you can start making the themes. You can select background images, wallpapers, icons and color combinations for each theme. You have the option of uploading images for backgrounds and wallpapers from your computer or selecting them from the Internet. Once you've created the theme, select the option of downloading it on your phone. Provide your cell phone number in the specified field and send the theme to your cell phone. When you receive the theme on the phone, it will be saved automatically in the "Themes" folder, where you can access it and enable it on your phone.
2. Use the website Astod for creating free themes. The website is pretty similar to Own Skin, except that you do not need to sign up. When you open the website, select your Nokia model from the list. On the next page, click "Choose File" and upload an image from your computer. This image will be used as the "idle screen" of the theme. Upload images for the "active background" and "wallpaper," as well. You can choose from an array of icons. Select those that go with the rest of the theme's color combination. Once you have finished, download the theme to your phone by providing your cell phone number on the site.
3. Use the website Zedge. Once you sign up on the website, open the "Theme Creating" page and upload images for the "idle background," "active background" and "wallpaper." Select custom icons from the ones available on the website. After creating the theme, send it to your phone via SMS. Enter your phone number on the site and you will receive the theme by SMS on your phone.
