Garmin Mobile XT is software you can install on your cell phone that features an advanced GPS system. It also provides instant access to weather information, traffic conditions, route suggestions, current gas prices in specific locations and more. Using Garmin is no doubt helpful, but there may be times when you do not need it, and it is using up battery power on your cell phone. Disabling Garmin's network connection can be done quickly in a few steps.
Instructions
1. Tap on your cell phone's "Menu" icon.
2. Select the "Tools" option.
3. Select the "Settings" option.
4. Select "Garmin Online."
5. Select "Garmin Online Access."
6. Select the "Disable" box next to the "Garmin Online Access" heading.
7. Select "Yes" or "OK" if prompted to finalize your selection to disable "Garmin Online Access."
