Auto remotes can be used to start your car's engine
You can add valet keys for your remote starter system to your key chain. These keys allow you to start your BMW car for as long as 10 minutes at a time. Starter remotes can be used from as far as a couple hundred feet away, so you can use them from within your house or across a parking lot. You can start, restart or stop your car with just a push of the remote's button.
Instructions
1. Press and release the "Lock" button on your valet key remote and wait for the locks to click and the car headlights to flash.
2. Press and hold the starter button on the remote until the car starts. Release the button. The car will stay started for 10 minutes.
3. Press "Lock" and hold the starter button while the car is running to turn off the auto starter.
4. Press "Lock" again and hold the starter button after the car has stopped to run the car for an additional 10 minutes.
5. Use your ignition key to start or stop the car once it has already been auto started.
