The Nokia E61i mobile phone comes with RealPlayer software preinstalled. The RealPlayer software for mobile devices allows users to play video files on a mobile phone. When updates are made available for RealPlayer, the OviSuite software will find and install them on the Nokia E61i phone. Before updating the RealPlayer software, make sure that the Nokia E61i is fully charged. You can update RealPlayer on the E61i with a wired USB connection or a wireless Bluetooth connection.
Instructions
1. Download the Nokia OviSuite software to your computer (see "Resources" below). Enter the E61i model number in the online software download page. Follow the prompts to install the software on the computer.
2. Connect the Nokia E61i to the computer using the USB cable. Alternately, you can download updates via Bluetooth. To enable Bluetooth, select "Menu," "Connect" and then "Bluetooth." Switch the "Bluetooth" option to "On" with the scroll key. Select "Shown to all."
3. Open the OviSuite software on the computer. Choose "Software updates" from the OviSuite Tools menu. OviSuite will look for software updates for RealPlayer and any other software installed on the Nokia E61i.
4. Select the RealPlayer update and any other updates that you want to install. Click "Next" to proceed with the installation.
5. Dot "Yes, I want to make a backup" and click "Next." The software will back up your phone and install the update.
6. Click "Yes" to install the backup that was just created. Click "Next" and then "Finish." The RealPlayer on your Nokia E61i has been updated.
