My Nokia N97 Mini Camera Stopped Working

The Nokia N97 Mini smartphone has many features, including a camera that can capture photos and record video. The N97 Mini camera requires an application downloaded on the hard disk to operate. If the camera is not operating correctly, a problem may exist with the software that includes the application or operating system; the camera may be in the wrong mode; the lens could be clouded; or the device may need to be reset.

Instructions

1. Capture images with the Nokia N97 Mini correctly. Press the "Camera" icon on the N97 Mini main menu. Press the "Capture" icon to take the picture.

2. Keep the camera completely still when trying to capture an image. Moving the camera around will result in a failed capture.

3. Switch from Video Mode to Image Mode. In Video Mode, you won't be able to capture photos. Tap the "Capture" icon. When in the Capture screen, tap the "Capture Settings" icon in the camera menu. Select the "Camera" icon.

4. Clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth.

5. Update the Nokia N97 Mini software, which will improve the camera feature. Select "Menu," then choose "Applications" from the N97 main menu. Tap "SW Update." Choose "Options" and "Start Update." The Mini will install all available software updates.

6. Reset the N97 after you have updated the software. Tap the keys *#7370#. Then enter the lock code when prompted. The default lock code is 12345.

7. Hit the "Capture" key again and try to take a picture now. It should operate correctly.
