Unlock An Ipaq Phone

The HP iPAQ is a cellphone that must be unlocked before using it on your network. There are a few different models of the iPAQ, including the 6315, but these models all use the same unlock method. Unlocking the phone requires getting an unlock code and entering it into the phone properly. A wrong unlock code can permanently lock your phone. You will need a cell phone service provider to get your unlock code.

Instructions

1. Turn on your phone and enter "#06#" on the keypad. This will open up your phone's menu and display your IMEI code. This code is needed to help identify your phone, so write the number down.

2. Call your cell phone service provider and speak to a customer service representative about getting an unlock code. Give him your IMEI code. He will generate the unlock code for your iPAQ phone.

3. Remove your SIM card and find the PIN code printed on the side of the card. Write this number down under your unlock code.

4. Power on your phone and follow the instructions. The phone will prompt you to enter your PIN code. Enter the PIN code using your keypad. The phone will then ask you to enter your unlock code.

5. Enter your unlock code, then wait for the phone to display that it has accepted the code. If it does not accept the code, try again. Entering the wrong code too often might cause your phone to lock permanently.
