Replace A Pebl Screen

The PEBL is a small cellular flip phone manufactured by Motorola. Like all other flip phones, it comes equipped with an LCD screen on the top flip. It's possible for this screen to become damaged over time. If this is the case with your PEBL, you can disassemble the unit and replace the screen on your own.

Instructions

1. Turn the PEBL off and slide the battery cover off of the rear of the unit. Remove the battery and set it aside.

2. Remove the four screws from the corners of the battery compartment.

3. Remove the battery compartment to expose the green circuit board underneath. Notice the thin orange screen cable connected to the top of the board.

4. Unplug the screen cable from the top of the board. Then separate the top half of the phone from the bottom.

5. Remove the two screws at the bottom corners of the top half of the phone and remove the plastic panel covering the LCD screen.

6. Remove the screen from the phone housing and fit a new on in its place. Reverse the steps for reassembly of the phone.
