The Nokia 6610 is a basic phone that was released by Nokia in 2002. Its key features are its large color display, ergonomic keypad equipped with a four-way scroll, user changeable and downloadable Java games, polyphonic ring tones, multimedia messaging (MMS) and is integrated with a hands free speaker. It is a tri-band phone meaning that it can be used in most countries around the world. However it may still be locked to a network, which means that you will need to pay expensive roaming charges when you are abroad. So the solution is to get the phone unlocked.
Instructions
1. Download the program and launch the software. Once you purchase it you will be provided with a link via email to download the program. Unzip the downloaded software and double click on the DCT4 Calculator 1.4.exe and the software will open up. It doesn't install to your computer, but rather works as a stand alone executable program.
2. Generate your unlock code. In order to calculate your unlock code, you will need to provide three , lock type, IMEI and network provider code. The checkbox "calculate v2 codes" should remain checked in order to calculate the latest version of the codes. The lock type for the Nokia 6610 is 2. The IMEI of your 6610 can be determined by keying in "*#06#" on your phone screen and the 15-17 digit code will appear. The network provider code can be found using the drop down menu. If you cannot find your network provider in the list, go to the network provider worldwide list in the resource links.
3. Unlock your phone. The program will produce 7 usable codes that look like this "#pw+378826702640327+1#."
To generate "p" just press "*" three times within a second.
To generate "w" press "*" four times within a second.
To generate button "+" you have to press twice "*" within less than a second.
4. Turn your Nokia phone off and remove the SIM card. Replace it with a card from a different network. Turn the phone power back on. Enter the unlock code that you have created and press "OK." The phone will restart, and when it comes back on it will be unlocked.
