A dual SIM mobile phone is a mobile phone that holds two SIM cards. This allows the user to have access to more than one carrier or more than one phone number. Dual SIM phones can be used to keep personal contacts separate from numbers of business contacts. Although a mobile phone may have the dual SIM capability, sometime the phone is locked and cannot be used with more than one SIM. The mobile phone can be unlocked using an unlock code and your IMEI number.
Instructions
1. Call your cell phone provider for an unlock code for your dual SIM device. You will have to provide your IMEI number, which is located on the battery of the phone.
2. Remove the original SIM card from the phone and power the mobile device on.
3. Enter the unlock code given to you by your service provider when prompted.
4. Wait for the phone to reboot. The mobile device will power back on unlocked.
