Use The Nokia 5800 Navigation System

Use Nokia maps to find your way around.


The Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic is a touch screen smart phone with built in assisted GPS. GPS is short for Global Positioning System; this is a satellite based navigation system which transmits information signals. These signals can be picked up by devices such as the 5800 and used to pinpoint a location and display them on a map.


Instructions


1. Start up your 5800 and enter the pin code if prompted.


2. Tap "Menu" followed by "Maps" to open the Nokia maps application.


3. Tap "Options" followed by "My Location" to plot your location on the map. You will be identified by a red dot.


4. Tap "Options" followed by "Search" to search for a place or service. Enter the details of the place you wish to locate and tap "Search." Choose the appropriate result from the results list to display it on the map.


5. Navigate the map to a place you wish to go to, tap the three lines logo at the top right corner of the screen and select "Drive To" or "Walk To" to display directions.
