Reset A Nokia 6820

You can reset your Nokia 6820 cell phone to restore the factory defaults. This is necessary when the phone is not working correctly, such as continuous freezing, failing to update or failing to find a phone signal. Once the default settings are reset, you can then reprogram your desired settings, such as ring tones and alarms. Unlike resets on other major brands of phones, Nokia resets do not delete your contact information.

Instructions

1. Power on the Nokia 6820 cell phone.

2. Access the main menu by pressing the left selection key. The left selection key is located on the left-hand side of the phone and has a green dash icon on it.

3. Push the joystick to maneuver through the "Main Menu." Highlight "Setting" and push the "OK" button. The OK button is located in the center of the joystick.

4. Use the joystick to highlight "Restore Factory Settings." Push "OK."

5. Enter your security code, or if you have not set one, the last four digits of the cell phone's phone number.

6. Pres "OK" to reset the Nokia 6820.
