Activate A New Sim Card To My Nokia 2610

SIM card with copper contact chip

Depending on your network, you can activate the SIM card for your Nokia 2610 in several ways. You must have your SIM card available at the time of activation. SIM cards are small data chips that hold vital information about your phone and account.

Instructions

Setting Up the SIM Card

1. Remove the back cover from the phone and take out the battery. Write down the IMEI number printed on the sticker under the battery.

2. Remove the SIM card from the sleeve. Do not touch the copper contacts on the SIM card's underside. Write down the SIM card number.

3. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card cradle--the silver flat in the back of the phone.

7. Switch your phone off and back on again. The name of your wireless provider should appear.

8. Call your wireless provider.

9. Go through to the prepaid department. You may be prompted to go through an automated service to activate your SIM card.

You may also have to give your name, address, phone number and date of birth to complete the registration.
