Unlock A Nokia 6085 Mobile Phone

Mobile phone unlocking is a legal process.

The Nokia 6085 is a flip style phone equipped with a music player, camera and Bluetooth technology. It normally comes locked to a particular network provider when sold as part of a contract. This means that the phone cannot be used with any other network SIM. The phone can be unlocked by obtaining an unlock code from the network provider or from an unlock service provider.

Instructions

1. Find the IMEI number on your Nokia 6085. This can be found on a decal concealed beneath the handset battery, or by dialing "*#06#" to display the 15 digit number on the screen.

2. Telephone the customer services department of your network provider. Provide them with your phone details and IMEI number. Explain that you want the phone unlocked to be able to use another SIM in it. The provider will email an unlock code to you or explain that a certain amount of time must have passed on the contract before they will issue an unlock code. In this case you will have to try another source to obtain a code.

3. Navigate to an online unlock code service provider such as Gsmliberty.net. Give them the make and model of your phone as "Nokia 6085." Provide the Nokia's IMEI number. Name the service provider and the country in which you are using the phone. Follow the provider's directions for payment if needed. The provider will email you the unlock code for your handset.

4. Remove the SIM from the phone. Turn on the phone. Follow the directions provided with the unlock code to enter the code and unlock the phone.
