Avoid Iphone Pocket Dialing

Pocket dialing occurs when you place your iPhone in your pocket without activating the device's lock. Pocket dialing inadvertently causes your iPhone to dial phone numbers you did not intend to call. This can become problematic because you may not realize your iPhone has dialed a number, and the person you accidentally called can potentially hear you. To avoid pocket dialing on your iPhone, you should always make sure you activate the iPhone's lock prior to placing the phone in your pocket.

Instructions

1. Press the power button located at the top right corner of your iPhone. Pressing the power button from the home screen or any application will activate the iPhone lock and place your iPhone in standby mode.

2. Press the Home button at the bottom of your iPhone's screen. If you see the standby screen, with the slide to unlock button, you have successfully put your iPhone in standby mode.

3. Place the iPhone in your pocket. Your iPhone will not pocket dial because you have activated the lock on your device.
