Intellisync Can'T Find Microsoft Outlook Blackberry

Intellisync Can't Find Microsoft Outlook Blackberry

When you want to synchronize data between your BlackBerry and your computer running Microsoft Outlook, you use the BlackBerry Desktop Software (which uses Intellisync technology). If you find that during the Intellisync set-up, it does not recognize Microsoft Outlook, you have a compatibility issue. If you bought a BlackBerry before August 2010, your phone will have been shipped with version 5 of the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Version 5 is incompatible with Microsoft Outlook 2010. If you upgrade to version 6 of the software, you will be able to sync your BlackBerry with Microsoft Outlook (as long as its the 32-bit version).

Instructions

1. Navigate to the BlackBerry Desktop Software website (see Resources).

2. Click "Download it Today" and then "Download" on the next page.

3. Make sure your BlackBerry is disconnected from your computer, then double-click the file that you have just downloaded from BlackBerry. Complete the on-screen instructions to complete the set-up.

4. Connect your BlackBerry after installation is complete and BlackBerry Desktop Software 6 will automatically open.

5. Click "Organizer," then "Setup." Intellisync will now recognize Microsoft Outlook.
