Access Router Settings For A Westell E9061001406

A simple router connects multiple devices to one network source.

Routers are commonplace in home and business computer networks. They allow multiple computers to connect to a single internet connection and to each other. Many times router settings need to be modified to accommodate custom network setups. Routers are usually set up using web based interfaces that can be accessed from any computer on the network. The Westell E90-610014-06 router is a small, white router that is distributed to CenturyLink high-speed Internet customers.

Instructions

1. Open an Internet browser and enter your router's default IP address. The default address for Westell routers is 192.168.1.1. Your router address may be different if you or another user have changed the router's default settings. If you cannot connect through this address, press and hold the reset button on the back of the router until the lights flash and attempt connecting again.

2. When prompted for a user name and password, enter the correct login information. If a user name and password have not been previously set, enter "admin" for both the user name and password.

3. Make any desired changes to the router settings using the web-based interface.

4. When done, press "Save." Certain setting changes may cause your router to restart. This process usually lasts no longer than 30 seconds.
