You can lock DVDs from being played on the Toshiba SD-V280.
The Toshiba SD-V280 is a combination video player. It allows for the playback of DVD and VHS videos. The SD-V280 allows for the transfer of DVD content to video cassette and also offers a ratings feature. Using the ratings feature, a user can assign a numeric rating to each DVD to prevent children from viewing inappropriate material. The ratings feature can be accessed and unlocked with a four-digit security code.
Instructions
1. Turn on the Toshiba SD-V280 DVD by pressing the "Power" button on the remote control.
2. Turn on your television and tune to the channel that is configured to play the Toshiba DVD player.
3. Press the "Set Up" button on the remote control.
4. Press the "right arrow" button until you get to "Operational Settings."
5. Press the "down arrow" until you get to "Parental Lock."
6. Press the "Enter" button.
7. Select "Off" using the "up arrow" button.
8. Press the "Enter" button.
9. Enter your four-digit security code using the number buttons on the remote.
10. Press the "Enter" button.
11. Press the "Set Up" button to remove the on-screen display.
