Unlock A Pantech Duo C810

Unlocking your Pantech Duo 810 allows you to use the phone on any GSM network.

It is common for mobile phone users to activate a prepaid account while roaming overseas to take advantage of cheaper rates and to have a local number while they travel. It is also common for mobile phone users to take their phones to a different carrier to reduce startup costs when moving their account. Whatever your reason for unlocking your Pantech Duo C180, you must contact AT&T to obtain the necessary code.

Instructions

1. Remove the back cover from your Pantech Duo C810 and lift the battery out. Record the IMEI number from the product sticker located on the back of the phone, underneath the battery. Call AT&T and ask them for the SIM unlock code. You must have an active account with AT&T or one closed within 90 days if you want to apply for the unlock code. The rep will ask you for the model of phone, the IMEI, your mobile number and an email address. Expect to receive the code via email within 72 hours.

2. Put an active SIM card other than an AT&T SIM card into the SIM card slot in the phone. Place the battery into the phone and power it up. Wait until the SIM unlock box appears on the screen.

3. Enter the unlock code provided to you by AT&T to compete the process. If the code does not work the first time, enter it a second time. If it still does not work, you have the wrong code. If you enter it more than 10 times, the phone is permanently locked to AT&T. After two attempts, contact AT&T and report the code as incorrect. They will process the request again to obtain the correct code.
