Wire The Microsoft Lifechat Lx3000

The Microsoft LifeChat is a headset designed for communication and listening to audio. It comes with an adjustable microphone that is attached to the side of the headset. This is convenient if you spend a lot of time on your computer, talking on programs such as Skype. This particular headset is convenient because it can be quickly connected to your computer.


Instructions


1. Locate the audio input jack on your computer or audio device. It is a circular jack and is the standard size is 1.5 mm, which is the size of the audio plug on the LifeChat LX-3000.


2. Place the headphones around your ears and insert the plug at the end of the headphone cord into the audio jack on your computer or electronic device.


3. Use a program such as Skype to make a phone call. This way you can test both the audio and the adjustable microphone of the headset to make sure they are working properly. You can also use an audio recording program on your device to test the microphone, and you can use the media player on your device to test the audio.
