Configure Tmobile For Internet

Cell phone use increased exponentially in the early 2000s. Cell phone features expanded to include still and video cameras, text-messaging tools and Internet access. T-Mobile is among the largest cell phone service providers, with U.S. and international access plans. A common task for T-Mobile phone users is configuring the phone for the Internet.

Instructions

1. Position yourself near a wireless signal with your mobile phone turned on. This signal can be in a restaurant, bookstore or your home or office and will be indicated by zero or more cell phone signal strength bars depicted on your cell phone visual readout.

2. Access your T-Mobile phone's menu by selecting the text pad menu button to the left of the center trackball of the phone. You will now see several options. Click "Settings." Then select the phone's wireless menu. It will be located under a heading such as "Wireless Options," depending on the model of T-Mobile phone that you own.

3. Enable the "Wi-Fi" option within your wireless options. This will allow your phone to connect to wireless networks. Close the menu.

4. Input the WEP passkey for the wireless network you are attempting to connect to when the phone asks you to. Select "Connect." Your T-Mobile phone will now be configured to connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi as well as the default "3G" Internet connections available in your service area.
