Send A Happy Birthday Video

You can send a birthday video to a loved one with or without a web camera.

With the recent technological boom and the integration of videos and computers, sending a happy birthday video to a loved one, whether down the street or across the world, is easier than ever.

Instructions

Social Networking Sharing

1. Record your happy birthday video in good lighting, whether you use a camcorder or computer camera. Organize your thoughts before hitting record and speak clearly when recording the video. Record as many takes as you need to get it just right.

2. Connect the video camera to your computer with a USB cable and import the birthday video file to the computer, if using a camcorder. Label the video clearly so you can find it when it's time to send it.

3. Create a free account at one of the major video sites, such as vimeo.com or youtube.com. Personalize your account by adding information about yourself, customizing the look of the page and, finally, uploading your video to your page.

4. Share the birthday video with the recipient by copying the link of the video and posting it as a comment on one of her social networking pages. These links can be found below the video on your video page, often under a tab called "Share." Send the video in a message on one of these social networking sites, if you don't want others viewing it.

Email Sharing

5. Complete steps 1 to 3 in the above process.

6. Open your email account and compose a message. Click on the HTML message option, as the video will only show if you send it in HTML.

7. Copy and paste the video link--which, like above, can be found in the "Share" section under your uploaded video--into the body of your HTML email.

8. Click "Send." Keep in mind that your video will only appear as a link in your email but will, in fact, appear as a video at the bottom of the message when the recipient opens the email.
