Install Jar Files On A Motorola Phone

Install JAR files on your Motorola phone.

Files with the suffix ".jar" refer to java archives and are most often associated with files that allow you to install java-based games on your cellular phone. Using a USB cable to connect your device to your computer, you can move JAR files to your device and process the installation from your phone's interface. The process is simple on your Motorola as long as you have a JAR-compatible model--most are, but if you are unsure, check to see if you have a "KJava" folder. If you do not, your Motorola is most likely not compatible with JAR files.

Instructions

1. Plug your Motorola phone into your computer using the USB cable that came with the unit.

2. Navigate to the phone's file directory using Windows Explorer. Open the folder called "KJava."

3. Drag and drop the JAR file you would like to install on your phone into the KJava folder.

4. Eject the phone from the USB connection and activate your phone. Find the phone's application folder and choose "Install New."

5. Run the installation wizard. When the game has finished installing on your phone, you will be able to find it in your applications folder.
