Send Music To Another Cingular Phone

Cingular offers a wide variety of music types that can be sent and received through cell phones. From ringtones to music clips and full-length songs, you can send just about any type of audio through Cingular phones. The best part about the amenity is that you don't have to rely on only one method to get the job done. Cingular phones offer several ways for users to transmit music. The process takes about five minutes and there's no charge involved.

Instructions

1. Download music from the Internet and send the file in a text message. When music is stored on your computer, you can easily attach the file to a mobile uploader (see Resources) and send it directly to your phone via text message. When you access a media file uploader, click on its "Browse" button to locate and attach your music file. Provide your cell phone number, along with a name for the music file, in the data forms provided. You may also be prompted to indicate your cell phone carrier. Select "AT&T" as the cell phone carrier for the Cingular phone. Click on the "Send" action to download and send the music file to the Cingular cell phone.

2. Synchronize music via USB sync cable. Plug the phone's USB sync cable into the cell phone's connection outlet and into the computer's USB port. Once the connection is detected, click on the "Open Folder to View Files" action that will appear in the phone's AutoPlay pop-up window. Access the phone's media folder, and there should be an empty folder designated for music files. Click on this folder. This is where the music files will be moved to from the computer. Open the computer's music file folder. Highlight and drag the music files to the phone's media folder.

3. Use a Micro SD memory card to copy music from one phone and move it to another. Remove the phone's Micro SD memory from the phone. Place the Micro SD memory card into the bottom of the Micro TransFlash adapter. Insert the TransFlash adapter into the computer's ExpressCard slot. When the phone's window appears on your computer screen, open the phone's file folder and select the Music subfolder for the phone. Move the music files to the phone the same way you would if you were synchronizing your music files.

4. Send music through Bluetooth technology. Turn the Bluetooth component on for both the sending and receiving phones. Go to the Bluetooth settings folder for both phones. Press the Menu key on the phones' keypads and access the Tools folder and the Bluetooth subfolders. Press the "Turn On" or "Enable" option to make the phones discoverable for networking and communication purposes. Opt to pair the devices. Enter the same pass key for both phones and go to the content manager on the sending phone. Select the music file you want to send from the phone and press the soft key designated for the "Send Via Bluetooth" option.
