Increase Volume Of A Cell Phone'S External Speaker

Today's cell phones often come with external speakers to allow the user to talk while doing other activities or to allow others in the room to hear the caller. As convenient as they are, they can still be difficult to hear at the volume setting set by the manufacturer. Follow these fairly standard steps to adjust the volume on your cell phone speaker to allow easier listening.

Instructions

Cell Phone External Speaker Controls

1. Look on the side of your cell phone for some small buttons. Many times manufacturers locate the volume control buttons there for easier control by the user.

2. Push these buttons during a call while using your speaker to increase or decrease the volume of your cell phone speaker until you achieve a comfortable volume.

3. Tap the button a few more times to continue the speaker adjustment to the desired level.

Cell Phone Speaker Menu Controls

4. Access the menu in your phone by pressing the button marked "Menu" on your keypad.

5. Find the option called "Settings" and select it.

6. Choose the "Sounds" option from the opened menu.

7. Locate the option in this menu for the volume controls. Some devices divide this into separate volume listings such as "Ringer," "Receiver" and "Keypad" to name a few. If this is the case, select the "Receiver" option. If external speaker is already an immediate choice, skip to Step 6.

8. Press the option called "Speaker" or "External Speaker."

9. Use your "Up" or "Down" keys on your keypad to adjust the volume to the level you would like.
