Use Skype If My Headset Microphone Is Not Working

Skype uses a webcam to allow its users to see each other


Skype is a hugely communication software which allows its users to make free video calls across the Internet. Some choose to use Skype with a headset microphone for improved sound quality but if the computer has a built in microphone you can use it instead. Changing the settings of Skype to use the built in microphone is easy and should not take longer than a minute.


Instructions


How Switch to an Internal Microphone with Skype in Windows


1. Run Skype and click "Tools" > "Options."


2. Click the "Audio Settings" tab.


3. Click the drop down tab next to "Microphone."


4. Select "Internal Microphone" or "Built-in Microphone" from the list.


5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the window to apply the new settings.


6. Test the new settings by making a test call to the "Skype Test Call" contact in your contact list.

7. Run Skype and click: "File" > "Preferences."


8. Click the "Audio" tab.


9. Click the drop down tab next to "Audio Input."


10. Select "Built-in Microphone Internal Microphone" from the list.


11. Click the red "x" at in the top left of the box to apply the new settings.


12. Test the new settings by making a test call to the "Skype Test Call" contact in your contact list.
