Disable A Gprs Connection

GPRS is activated on a phone through a network carrier. GPRS activation doesn't cost anything, and you're not charged for the service if you don't use it. But when you start using GPRS services on your phone, you're billed according to your data plan. If you do not need GPRS services on your phone, you can disable them easily.

Instructions

1. Go to the website of your wireless service provider, and log in to your customer account. Find the option to add and remove "Services" that have been added to your account. Find "GPRS" or "Internet" among the services listed on your account. If you find the option to "Remove"/"Delete" or "Deactivate" service, choose this option and confirm that you want to delete it. If you don't find this option, see the next step.

2. Call your network carrier's customer services department.

3. Tell a representative you want to remove GPRS from your account. The rep will deactivate GPRS from your account directly or take steps to get the GPRS deactivated.
