Unlock your cell phone to use it on any available network.
Unlocking your Nokia 6101 cell phone will allow you to use networks other than the one from which you bought your phone. An unlocked phone will save you money by eliminating roaming charges when you travel out of your provider's service area and increase the overall utility of your phone. In order to complete the unlocking process, you will need your phone's specific unlock code. Your service provider will probably supply this code if you have been a customer for some time. If they refuse to give this information, try visiting one of the sites listed in the Resources section, each of which claims to provide Nokia unlock codes free.
Instructions
1. Turn on your Nokia cell phone with no SIM card installed. Ignore any message that is now displayed.
2. Key in the following: #pw+CODE+1#, replacing "CODE" with your unlock code. Press the * button three times in a row for "p," press * four times in a row for "w" and press * twice in a row for the "+" symbol.
3. Wait for the message, "SIM Restriction Off" to display. The phone is now unlocked.
