Install The Exchange Certificate In Windows Mobile 6

The certificate in Microsoft Exchange is similar to a password. It verifies the authenticity of a user's signature, personal information or data on a document. You may want the Exchange certificate on your Windows Mobile 6 device if you constantly upload documents from customers and clients. To install the Exchange certificate, you need Windows Mobile Device Center and a data cable. Windows Mobile Device Center allows you to transfer Microsoft and Windows files between your handheld device and computer.

Instructions

1. Download the Windows Mobile Device Center software (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop for easy access. Double-click the file and follow the installation instructions.

2. Restart your computer. Attach one end of the data cable to your Windows Mobile device. Attach the other end to your computer's USB port.

3. Wait for the Windows Mobile Device Center to launch and detect a connection. Click "Next" at the setup window.

4. Select Microsoft Exchange from your computer's list of programs and files. Click "Next." Select the Microsoft Exchange Certificate from the drop-down menu.

5. Click "Next" once more. The synchronization will begin. Click "Finish" when it is complete.
