The Nokia 6681 is a bar shaped mobile phone released for AT&T wireless users in 2005. The 6681 features a traditional cell phone keyboard and comes in three different colors. Among the color options are electric blue, light silver and pearl white. The phone is no longer offered by AT&T through upgrades or the company's website, though it will still function on the network.
Battery and Screen
The Nokia 6681 has a LCD display screen that measures 2.1 inches diagonally. The screen shows images at a resolution of 176 pixels by 208 pixels and uses TFT technology. The phone has 18 bit color depth, so it shows a maximum of 262,000 colors. The screen also allows you to use images as wallpapers or screen savers. The 6681 has a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 900 mAh, or milliamp hours. The battery lasts for up to six hours of constant usage before needing a charge. While on standby mode, the battery lasts up to 10 days.
Media
The phone has a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with an LED flash for difficult and dark lighting situations. All photos are taken at a resolution of 1,280 pixels by 960 pixels. The camera also takes and plays back videos and has six different digital zoom levels to get closer. All videos have a maximum resolution of 176 pixels by 144 pixels. The Nokia 6681 has a media player that lets you listen to music files as long as they are in the AAC, MP3 or Real formats. All audio files can also be used as ring tones for one or more contacts.
System
The 6681 phone has a TI OMAP 1710 220 MHz processor and uses the Symbian 8.0a operating system. The phone connects and functions by using the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM frequencies. The phone also comes with Bluetooth version 1.2 for connecting with other devices and headsets. Using GPRS, the 6681 gets a maximum speed of 48 kilobytes per second, or kbps. While connected to the Class 10 Edge network, the phone can get to speeds of 236.8 kbps.
