Unlock A Samsung B130

When you first purchase a Samsung B130 mobile phone, the phone is locked to your provider's network. In other words, the phone is unable to connect to any network other than your provider's. In order to connect to other networks, you need an unlock code. You can try getting one from your provider or you can purchase one from a third-party website. For both methods, you need to know your phone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. You also need a subscriber identity module (SIM) card from another network.

Instructions

1. Enter "*#06#" on your B130's keypad. Check the screen for the IMEI number and write it down.

2. Contact your phone's provider and give them the IMEI number. Request an unlock code, though keep in mind that they may decide to not provide you with one.

3. Visit a third-party website that sells codes (see Resources). Provide the site with your phone's IMEI number and purchase a code.

4. Remove the battery pack from the back of the phone, then remove the current SIM card. Insert a SIM card from another network in place of the old one, then put the battery pack back in place. Turn the phone on. Enter the unlock code you received when prompted and the phone will unlock.
