How Install A Memory Card In A Nokia 3660

Adding a memory card to your Nokia

Nokia released the 2660 cell phone in 2003 and it was one of the company's first cellular phone that supported video playback. It has since been discontinued, but many of these phones are still in circulation. If you happen to own a 3660 you may not know that, like many modern cellular and smartphones, it can support a memory card. These cards are useful if you want to back up information on your 3660. And the best part is that process of installing a memory card is easy and straightforward.

Instructions

1. Press the red power button on the right side of your Nokia 3660 and hold it down until the phone powers off. Then turn the phone over so the back is facing you.

2. Slide the back battery cover down and away from the device to remove it. Then use your fingers to remove the rectangular battery from its compartment. The small rectangular memory card compartment will now be visible in the middle of the bottom of the battery compartment.

3. Slide the memory card into its compartment so that all sides fit flush and it is secure. Be sure that the gold contacts on the memory card are facing down in the compartment.

4. Slide the silver latch over the memory card to make sure it is completely secure.

5. Replace the battery and then slide the cover back in place. Turn the phone on and select "Options" from the main menu screen. Then select "Format mem. card" from the list of options. Press Ok to confirm and your phone will format the memory card. A dialogue box will appear on screen informing you when formatting is finished. Afterwards your memory card will be completely installed in your 3660.
