Know If My Pc Is Bluetooth Enabled

Bluetooth adaptors are a low-cost way to add Bluetooth functionality to your PC.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for transmitting and receiving data over short distances. Invented by Ericsson in 1994, it became standard on mobile devices such as mobile phones, headsets and many computer laptops, which need to transmit data to other devices close by. Bluetooth can be added to a PC by purchasing a Bluetooth adaptor, which plugs in to a USB port and adds full Bluetooth functionality allowing the PC to connect to other Bluetooth devices. Microsoft Windows has built-in support for Bluetooth, and allows you to easily check if your PC is Bluetooth-enabled.

Instructions

1. Click on the Windows "Start" button, and select "Control Panel" from the Windows "Start" menu.

2. Select "Small icons" from the "View by" drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the Control Panel to enable you to see all of the Control Panel options.

3. Look for an entry labeled "Bluetooth Devices." If this entry is not present, the PC is not currently Bluetooth enabled.

4. Double-click the "Bluetooth Devices" icon, and then click on the "Diagnostics" tab. This will display the details of Bluetooth-enabled devices connected to the PC.
