Skype is an instant messaging service that allows you to video chat with other users around the world. When your camera is properly installed, Skype recognizes a camera for the service. If you don't have the CD to install the camera to your computer, you can find the drives online through the manufacturer.
Instructions
1. Plug your webcam into a free USB drive if the camera is external. Install your camera using the disc that came with the camera or downloading a driver online if necessary. Make sure the installation is complete and the camera is working.
2. Log into your Skype account with your user name and password. Your account will register the camera if it is completely installed.
3. Choose the user you wish to chat with and open a friend window. Click the green call button to create a video call. The person must accept the call before your video camera appears in their window and your window.
