Use A Nokia N95 Mobile

The Nokia N95 is a smartphone with a number of features and functions. When you first start using the phone, you might have some trouble getting used to its interface. A quick tutorial on accessing the basic N95 calling and messaging features should be helpful in getting you started.


Instructions


1. Dial a phone number, including the area code, in standby mode. Press the button with the receiver icon to connect the call. If it's an international number, press "*" twice to get the "+" character. Then, enter the country code followed by the area code and phone number.


2. Call a recently dialed number by pressing the button with the receiver icon. From the list provided, select the number you want to call.


3. Press the button with the receiver icon when you have an incoming call. To hang up, press the "End" key.


4. Answer another call while you're on a call already. This can be achieved by activating "Call waiting." Go to "Menu," "Tools," "Settings," "Phone," "Call" and "Call waiting." When you receive another call in the middle of one, press the button with the receiver icon to put the first call on hold. To switch between the two calls, select "Swap."


5. View the call log by going to "Menu," "Applications," "Log" and "Recent Calls." This will show you a list of registered missed and received calls.


6. Manage your Nokia N95's phone book. To add a new contact, go to "Menu," "Contacts," "Options" and "New Contact." Enter the last name, first name and phone number. Press "Done" when you want to save it. To edit an existing contact, scroll to the particular contact and go to "Options" and "Edit."


7. Send text messages (SMS). Go to "Menu," "Messaging," New Message" and Text Message." In the "To" field, enter the phone number of the person to whom you're sending a text. To select it from the phone book, press the main menu key and scroll down the list to select the particular contact. Type the message in the "Message:" field and press "Send."


8. Set a ringtone for a contact. Scroll down the phone book list and select the particular contact. Go to "Options" and "Ringing tone." From the list of ringtones, select the one you like and apply it as the contact's ringtone.


9. Press the "Menu" key and select "Web" to access the Internet on your phone. Enter a website URL in the address field and press the main menu key to go to that website.
