Get Pictures Off Your Cell Phone With A Sd Card

Get Pictures Off Your Cell Phone With a SD Card

Cell phones with a micro SD card slot make storing and moving photos and documents much easier. By using a micro SD card you have many options of where and how you want to store your pictures. It is the ultimate portable storage device. You no longer need to use a USB cable connected your phone and your computer, or email pictures and documents to your own account, or send a text message with the picture to a number provided by your carrier (your carrier would then upload the picture to their Web site). You can now have these pictures and documents stored on your computer just by using a micro SD card. SD cards are just one of the many ways you can have extra memory and storage in this digital age.

Instructions

1. Purchase and insert a micro SD card into your cell phone (micro SD cards come with a regular-sized SD card adapter). Your phone will be capable of adding a certain amount of gigabytes (GB). Some phones can add an additional 8GB, and some can add more. Consult your cell phone manual to ensure you purchased the right size micro SD card.

2. The following depends on which phone you have.

Enter the camera options on your phone. There will be an option to choose where you would like to store your pictures. If there is no option to choose where you want to store the pictures, the phone may automatically start storing photos on the SD card. On some phones you may have to move photos after you take your pictures. You can also move previously taken photos onto the SD card.

3. After you have added the photos you want onto the SD card, remove the card from the phone. Insert the micro SD card from the phone into the SD card adapter that came with it. You will now be able to insert the SD card into your computer if your computer has an SD card slot. Also, if you have a non-Sony digital camera, you can insert the SD card into the camera, use the USB cord that came with the camera to connect to the computer, and recover them like you normally would using your digital camera. If your computer does not have an SD card slot and you don't have a digital camera, you can take the SD card to anyplace that develops photos and they will transfer the photos off the card.
