Install A Garmin Lakemaster

Garmin's LakeMaster maps help you navigate lakes, rivers and streams.

Garmin's LakeMaster MapSource products contain in-depth, detailed information about lakes that can be displayed on Garmin hand-held GPS devices. LakeMaster maps may be purchased for states such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. The software is designed for boaters and fishers, and displays data such as water depth, hazards, boat ramps and islands. The LakeMaster software can be installed on your Garmin GPS by connecting the device to the computer and using a brief transfer process.

Instructions

1. Insert the LakeMaster MapSource disc into the computer's disc drive, or open the file if you received the software as a download.

2. Click "Utilities," then "Manage Map Products." Choose your map product from the list and click "Unlock Online." You are taken to the Unlock Maps website.

3. Install the Garmin Communicator Plugin on the computer, if you are prompted to do so. Connect the Garmin GPS to the computer using its included cable.
