Sync your email contacts on your Nokia E71.
The Nokia E71 is a smart phone that allows you to do fun things like chatting, listening to music, watching videos, playing games and browsing the Internet. However, you can handle business with it as well. You can stay organized with a calendar, send emails and maintain contact groups. If you already have an address book set up on your computer, you can also transfer those contacts to your E71 via synchronization.
Instructions
1. Click "Menu" on your Nokia E71. Select "Tools" and "Sync."
2. Select "Options" to reveal the sync options for the device.
3. Choose the option to create a "New Sync Profile." After selecting this option, you will be able to create a name for your profile. You can name the profile whatever you want. For example, you can name the profile "Business" or "Personal." When you receive the prompt asking you want information you would like to sync with the profile, select "Contacts."
4. Open the Nokia PC Suite software on your computer. If you have not installed the Nokia PC Suite software, you can download and install it for free through the Nokia PC Suite website. When the software is opened, the "Get Connected Wizard" will automatically launch.
5. Click the option that is labeled "Click here to connect a phone." Click "Next." Click "Cable Connection" as your connection type. Click "Next."
6. Connect your Nokia E71 to your computer. This is done by connecting one end your mini-USB cable into the USB port of your E71. The other end should be plugged into the USB port of your computer.
7. Click "Finish" to close the wizard.
8. Click the "Synchronize" option from the PC Suite program. Select the name of your email program that contains your contacts. For example, "Microsoft Outlook" or "Microsoft Exchange." Click "Next."
9. Select "Contacts" from the list that is located on the "What To Synchronize" page.
10. Click on the profile name that was set up in step three. Click "Next."
11. Select the date range for your synchronization. Click "Next."
12. Select the option labeled "Synchronize when I finish."
13. Click "Finish" to synchronize your contacts.
