Check Voicemails From A Home Phone

Check any voicemail from a home phone.

No matter which cell phone carrier you have or which landline phone service you subscribe to, you can check any voicemail box from your home phone. You'll need your phone provider's access code to check messages, but the general process is the same for all voicemail.

Instructions

1. Check your phone provider's website for the voicemail access code. You'll find it in the help section. You can also find it in your cell phone user manual.

2. Activate your voicemail if you haven't already. As part of the activation you set up a voicemail PIN and greeting. The instructions to activate your account will also be in the website's help section or in the user manual.

3. Dial the voicemail's phone number and wait for your greeting to begin.

4. Press the voicemail access code into the keypad. For most cell phone providers the code is the star key.

5. Enter your voicemail PIN when prompted.

6. Listen to the voicemail prompts and press the correct number to check your messages.
