Troubleshoot "Jawbone" On The Iphone 4

Troubleshoot your Jawbone's connectivity with the iPhone 4.

A connectivity issue between your Jawbone Bluetooth headset and the iPhone 4 is often due to outdated software on the iPhone, a low battery in the Jawbone or a pairing problem. The iPhone 4 requires the latest software to work properly with the headset, and it's available on iTunes as a free download. For pairing issues, your headset device and phone must "talk" to each other by linking together for wireless use.

Instructions

1. Insert the Jawbone charger cable into the headset's charger port, and plug the other end into an electrical outlet. Leave the headset plugged to the charger cable for 90 minutes, to completely restore its battery.

2. Connect the iPhone 4 to the computer by plugging its USB cable into the computer's USB port. Insert the opposite end of the cable into the bottom of the iPhone.

3. Click "iPhone" on the left side of the iTunes window, and click "Update." Click "Download and Install," if an update is available for your phone. Click "Eject" after the update finishes.

4. Slide the power button on the back of the Jawbone device to the right, to power it on.

5. Touch "Settings" on the iPhone's screen, and click "General." Touch "Bluetooth" and swipe your finger against the onscreen Bluetooth switch, to turn on the phone's Bluetooth tool.

6. Tap the Jawbone device's name in the nearby devices list on the iPhone's screen. Type "0000" as the password for the headset, and click "Pair."
