Transfer your favorite audio files to your iTouch in just a few clicks.
Whether you're looking for the perfect workout song to pump you up, a soothing nighttime lullaby or a playlist just to pass the time, transferring audio from your PC to your iTouch with iTunes is a simple process that can ensure you are never without your favorite tunes on the go.
Instructions
1. The iTouch requires use of the USB cable included with the device to transfer files from your PC.
Connect your iTouch to your computer. Plug in the white USB cable included with your iTouch to your computer's USB port to transfer audio and charge the device. The device's screen will display a green digital battery meter, indicating the connection has been made.
2. Open iTunes. Under the default settings, iTunes will automatically launch when your iTouch has been successfully connected to your computer. If the files you want to transfer are not yet in your iTunes library, click "File" and select "Add Files to Library." Determine the location of the files on your computer, select the files you want to transfer and click "Open."
3. Keep your iTunes and iTouch software up-to-date to ensure a quick syncing process.
Select your device. Click "Devices" on the menu on the left side of the iTunes screen and select your iTouch. You will be taken to the "Summary" tab, which outlines several key properties of your device, including space capacity, serial number and a breakdown of your device's memory usage.
4. Choose the audio files you want to transfer. The top of the "Summary" page lists several tabs from which you can access the content in your iTunes library. Click the "Music" tab to access the audio files currently available in your library. Check the box next to "Sync Music" at the top of the page and select the artists, albums, songs and playlists you want to transfer to your iTouch.
5. As soon as the audio has been transferred, plug in your headphones and listen away.
Sync your iTouch. Click "Apply" in the bottom right corner of iTunes to transfer the audio files you selected from your PC to your iTouch. This will automatically sync the selected files and settings from your computer with your iTouch. After this initial setup, iTunes will automatically open and sync with your iTouch every time you connect your device to your computer. Once the sync has completed, the files will be immediately available on your iTouch.
