Reset A Blackberry 4700

A BlackBerry is a smartphone that provides fast and portable access to email, telephone, the Web and other useful apps. At some point, you may decide to reset your BlackBerry 4700 to factory settings. This will reset any changes you made to the options, delete any personal and business data and delete installed third-party apps. If you decide you want to reset your BlackBerry 4700 to factory settings, the process is straightforward.


Instructions


1. Navigate to the Home screen of your BlackBerry 4700.


2. Click on "Security Options."


3. Click on "General Settings."


4. Press the "Menu" key on your BlackBerry 4700 fingerpad.


5. Click on the "Wipe Handheld" command.


6. Confirm that you want to reset your BlackBerry. Select the option to wipe third-party apps and their data if you wish. You should select this option if you truly want to reset your BlackBerry to factory settings.


7. Enter the reset password. This will either be "BlackBerry" or whatever password your company has assigned.
