Use A Nokia E63 As A Webcam

Turn your cell phone camera into a webcam.


A webcam allows you keep in touch with your friends and family members face to face. If you don't have one, you can use your Nokia E63. All you need to do is to install a software application that will convert the camera on your E63 into a webcam. This way you won't need to purchase any additional equipment.


Instructions


1. Look for software programs compatible with your Nokia E63 that will turn your mobile phone into a webcam. A few options are Qik, Mobiola and Yograbo. As of 2010 these programs cost between nothing and $24.99.


2. Install the free Qik program by going to the website and registering. You will be required to provide a user name, e-mail address and mobile number. Qik comes with 19 languages and supports networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Video sharing is also available when using Qik.


3. Download the Mobiola application. This costs $24.99 but a seven-day trial is available. This program is compatible with all smartphones, including the Nokia E63 mobile phone. This program integrates with video chatting programs, such as Skype, AOL Messenger, MSN Chat and ICQ.


4. Get Yograbo. This program is free. It allows you to connect your Nokia E63 to you computer via USB cable or Bluetooth. Like the other programs, it enables you to share videos and live streams by using Voice Over Internet Protocol (voIP) programs like Skype and Yahoo Messenger.
