Motorola Headset Pairing Instructions

The Motorola H500 is one of Motorola's many Bluetooth headsets.

Motorola makes a variety of Bluetooth headsets, most of which are compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phone. Before you are able to use your headset with your phone, you'll need to connect the two by pairing them, which allows your Motorola headset and phone to communicate. After the initial pairing, you can connect your headset to your phone as long as they are in range of each other. Charge your headset fully (usually about two hours) before beginning the pairing procedure.

Instructions

1. Make sure your headset is turned off.

2. Open your phone's main menu and select "Settings" or "Tools." Choose "Bluetooth," and select "On."

3. Press and hold your Motorola headset's "Call" or "Power" button (depending on model). Release the button when the indicator light remains steadily lit--usually six to 10 seconds.

4. Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone--it's usually located under "Tools" or "Settings"--and choose "Add New Device" or "Look for Devices."

5. Highlight the name of your headset from the list of found devices and press "OK" or "Pair." Enter "0000" when prompted for a passkey and press "OK."
