Use The Belkin Tunecast

Portable FM transmitters are commonly used in automobiles to transmit audio from portable devices such as MP3 players and PDAs wirelessly to car stereo systems. And with the Belkin Tunecast, you can transmit audio to an FM radio from any audio source that has an 1/8-inch standard size headphone jack. Setting up the Tunecast is simple--it requires no tools or programming.

Instructions

1. Plug the 1/8-inch audio plug, at the end of the Tunecast, into the headphone jack on your MP3 or CD player. For music phones, plug the Tunecast's audio plug into the 1/8-inch end of a 1/8-inch to 1/32-inch adapter and plug the 1/32-inch end of the adapter into the phone's headphone port.

2. Tune your radio to one of the Tunecast's four supported FM radio frequencies: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5 and 88.7. Find a frequency--from the four available--that is unused by any radio stations. Even a weak radio broadcast can bleed through a frequency and pollute your Tunecast's signal.

3. Switch the slider, located at the bottom of the Tunecast, to the frequency that corresponds to the one you set on the radio.

4. Press the circular power button on the side of the Tunecast--the green LED will light up when the power is on. Play your MP3 or CD player to begin broadcasting through your Belkin Tunecast.
